About Us

Here at The Biscuit Box we believe passionately in creating biscuits that are both beautiful and delicious.

The business was established in 2009 on the picturesque island of Guernsey and now distributes biscuits throughout the UK and Channel Islands. It took more than 100 recipe attempts to come up with the perfect super-chocolatey biscuit that both tastes great and holds its shape. The secret recipe is now in the capable hands of Helen Hubert, who delights in using her imagination and creative skills to make eye-catching biscuits to suit all occasions.

We use only the finest ingredients combined using tried and tested baking techniques and take immense pride in the quality of the design of our product, whether it be for our beautifully packaged collections or bespoke creations for corporate and personal events.

Our Ingredients

We pride ourselves on using the finest ingredients in our biscuits

Biscuits: flour, butter, caster sugar, fair-trade cocoa, free-range egg, golden syrup, vanilla.

Icing: Meri-white meringue powder, icing sugar, water, food colouring.We try to use natural colouring where possble but food colouring may contain some of the following: Glycerol E422, Propylene Glycol E551, E104, E129, E102, E155, E133, E122, E110, E124, E260

Allura red (E129), Carmoisine (E122) Ponceau 4R (E124)Quinoline yellow (E104)Sunset yellow (E110)Tartrazine (E102) ‘May have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children’

Printed biscuits may also contain:

  • Edible Blue Ink: Purified Water, Propylene Glycol, Glycerine, Blue #1 - Brilliant Blu FCF (E133), Polysorbate 80, Sodium Hydroxide, Mono- and Di¬Glycerides.
  • Edible Red Ink: Purified Water, Propylene Glycol, Carmoisine - Azorubin (E122), Glycerine, Polysorbate 80, Sodium Hydroxide, Mono- and Di¬Glycerides, Potassium Citrate.
  • Edible Yellow Ink: Purified Water, Propylene Glycol, Glycerine, Yellow #5 - Tartrazin (E102), Polysorbate 80, Mono- and Di-Glycerides, Yellow #6 - Sunset Yellow FCF (E110), Sodium Hydroxide.

 

Some biscuits may have sparkly bits and bobs which may contain: Sugar, Wheat startch, wheat glucose syrup, peanut oil hydrogenated, anthocyanins, beetroot red, curcumin, glazing agent beeswax, palm oil, maize starch, E553b, Vanilla, natural colours, carmine, Lutein, copper, chlorophyllin, spirulina concentrate, E171, E172, soy leithin, salt, confectioners glaze, carnuba wax, dextrin, riboflvin, corn startch, rice flour, cotton seed, soybean, cellulose gum, carrageenan, gum tragacanth & gum arabic.

While our biscuits do not contain nuts they are made in a kitchen that handles them regularly, and some of our sprinkles and sparkles may contain hydrogenated peanut oil.

Best Before

All our biscuits are baked freshly when you order them, they are best enjoyed within a month. Keep in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight.
